I am interested in which Holts from Grendon Underwood and the other nearby villages emigrated to Australia. I have lots on the English side but less on the Australian. I know of the GREAVES and ORGILL families (connected by marriage) and John Holt. I believe a Matthew Holt also emigrated?
Anything more would be much appreciated.

Hello All Blasdale’s
My grandfathers name was Thomas Blasdale and was born in Nottingham he and his wife Florence ‘Joan’ had one daughter and one son, Kathleen and Keith.
Keith has two sons Darren and David and we live in Adelaide SA with our partners.
I have two children a girl and a boy and Darren has one boy and two girls.
Kathleen has two children Joanne and John and they have a couple kids each, they still reside in Nottingham.
We havent seen my grandfathers name on the website to date and were wondering if we are related due to the unusual surname.
Both Darren and myself have boys so the Blasdale name will continue.
Please drop us a line if you can update any information on my grandfather Thomas Blasdale.

Blasts from the Caius past
Hello Steve:How goes it? I wonder if you remember John Lewis, Simon Potter, Norman Housley and Ravi Kanbur (me) from your Caius days. We have stayed in touch, and often think about you. I came across your (very impressive) website while surfing the net, so I thought I would send a contact email.Briefly, here is how things look with the four of us:John is in South Africa (on to wife number 3, 2 children) working at the South African Democratic Teachers Union.Simon is in London (off from wife number 1, 2 children) working at a big housing association in London for the deprived.Norman (still with wife number 1, 2 children) is Professor of Medieval History at Leciester.Ravi (still with wife number 1, no children) is Professor at Cornell–my website is http://www.people.cornell.edu/pages/sk145I guess all we need to do is to look at your website to see what you have been up to! It really is amazing how many things you seem to be doing.I come to England off and on, and meet up with Norman and Simon, so perhaps we can meet up some time if it all works out.All the very best,Ravi.

Verbier
Now that’s what I call a blast from the past. Hi Guys, impressed to see two pics of me on your site. ‘76 was a lot of fun. Well done.

Verbier pictures
Just seen the pictures of the Verbier holiday in 1976. What a fun time we had! I’m amazed that the camera and film survived, the ammount of times that you fell over! I have been back to Verbier several times since then but ‘76 was one of the best. Many thanks for the memories. Amanda (Mandy, Eddies daughter!)
