I am interested in which Holts from Grendon Underwood and the other nearby villages emigrated to Australia. I have lots on the English side but less on the Australian. I know of the GREAVES and ORGILL families (connected by marriage) and John Holt. I believe a Matthew Holt also emigrated?
Anything more would be much appreciated.

Hello Stephen! Just had a great laugh looking at your photos from Verbier 1976 and 1977!! I see from the comments page that Halina, Tom and Mandy have seen them long before me, don’t know how it took me so long!! I caught up with Lilo (Swiss girl from Zermatt pics) last year after not seeing her for 25 years, it was great fun.

My grandfathers name was Thomas Blasdale and was born in Nottingham he and his wife Florence ‘Joan’ had one daughter and one son, Kathleen and Keith.
Keith has two sons Darren and David and we live in Adelaide SA with our partners.
I have two children a girl and a boy and Darren has one boy and two girls.
Kathleen has two children Joanne and John and they have a couple kids each, they still reside in Nottingham.
We havent seen my grandfathers name on the website to date and were wondering if we are related due to the unusual surname.
Both Darren and myself have boys so the Blasdale name will continue.
Please drop us a line if you can update any information on my grandfather Thomas Blasdale.

Beccles Sailing Club
Hello Steve, MikeNot sure if you will remember me from way back in the 70′s at Beccles sailing Club. The club is 100yrs old in 2007 and I am organising various events throughout the year. Hello Steve:How goes it? I wonder if you remember John Lewis, Simon Potter, Norman Housley and Ravi Kanbur (me) from your Caius days. We have stayed in touch, and often think about you. Welly Throwing footage
Dear allmy name is Denise and I am working for ITN Factual on a series of programs for ITV, which will be broadcasted in Sept at 6pm and will be presented by Neil Fox; the shows are clip based ( any wacky, funny unusual sports, funny TV moments, etc): in the previous programs we used clips from cheese rolling competition for example. Steve,I had no idea you had had a bad landing last year at Bache, I felt terrible when I heard that you had broken your leg. How bad a break was it? I can’t believe you drove all the way back home with that. I remember being horrifed by Ollies crash landing, but that’s about it. Good friends whatever the distance!
Thank you for sharing your photographs re the Dinner Extravaganza at Pitahayas. Im currently in East Timor the world’s newest country, located above Darwin Australia on the map, and Im working for the United Nations until May next year here. I have known Paul and Julie Lord almost 30 years and was lucky to see Paul earlier this year in the UK and share some laughs.My living conditions here are very poor due to the state of the country and its terrible recent history, but ironically I have access to the internet and your photographs were a very pleasant surprise! Verbier pictures
Just seen the pictures of the Verbier holiday in 1976. What a fun time we had! I’m amazed that the camera and film survived, the ammount of times that you fell over!
