Hello Steve,
I've finally found you! Looks like you are still working in software but the visitors book looks a bit dormant so here I am to liven it up. I can't remember how many years (decades?) since we last met but I've been in Oz now some 25 years. I retired 5.5 years ago and moved away from the big smoke (Sydney) to a great spot near the beach. Let us know if you receive this. Pete

Well, it's certainly nice to know that we are generating a little two way traffic here. (See next comment down.) What a wonderful thing this Interweb thingy is. I might just get hooked on it :))

I can hardly believe it is 15 years since we worked together at Walker...

Very best wishes,

Hope that you don't mind, but I have added your great Beating the Bounds page to the Grendon Underwood Website which we started in April 2008. Anyone interested in family history information etc for the village can contact me at the Web Administrator's contact address.

Hi Chris

I came acroos your message to Don Holt below:

Calling Don Holt. We have information about Holt family in Grendon Underwood.

Comment by Chris Gilbert — May 6, 2007 @ 10:52 pm

I am interested in which Holts from Grendon Underwood and the other nearby villages emigrated to Australia. I have lots on the English side but less on the Australian. I know of the GREAVES and ORGILL families (connected by marriage) and John Holt. I believe a Matthew Holt also emigrated?

Anything more would be much appreciated.

Hello Stephen! Just had a great laugh looking at your photos from Verbier 1976 and 1977!! I see from the comments page that Halina, Tom and Mandy have seen them long before me, don't know how it took me so long!! I caught up with Lilo (Swiss girl from Zermatt pics) last year after not seeing her for 25 years, it was great fun.
