We had the annual tug of war between Kingswood and Wotton. Yet again lost by Kingswood. Not very well supported this year, in part caused by the very strong likelihood of thunderous rain. Actually the weather was not so bad, and the event was quite good fun, afterwards went around to George's, where we had a go on his go kart. Pictures available now on this site.

Rosemary departed to see her friend Jen who is/was living near Bergerac. Think she had a good time, attending wine tasting in Bordeaux, visiting chateaux and bringing back some of the best croissants I have ever tasted. They were Absolutely Bloody Marvellous.
During this period, I was invited over to a meal by John and Carol. Taking pity on me.

Flew up to Edinburgh on Easyjet from Luton on Monday. Thought I was not going to make it. At the airport the boards showed the flight has cancelled. Joined the long queue to find out what was happening, only to be told 15 minutes later that the information board had been telling porkies.
Arrived on time, in the pouring rain.
Left on Tuesday in the pouring rain.
In between not alot to mention, did not go to Petit Paris, did not go to Whistle Binkies, did not go to the Burke and Hare or the Western Bar.
The good news is I will be there more in June.

We spelt a lovely long weekend in Dorset with the Berkshire branch of the Cambridge Association. The pictures are now on the website. There is now a special section for Cambridge Society visits.

Monday 1st May 2006
I visited Jordan for a week, viewing many of the tourist sites, such at Petra, the Dead Sea, the Read Sea. We arrived back on Monday.
