Year 1973
The summer holiday was the International Mirror Championships at Looe, Cornwall. We stayed in a holiday flat not far from the beach. Today was a day off from racing, so we went swimming in some cove nearby.
The summer holiday was the International Mirror Championships at Looe, Cornwall. Peter was the helm, and elder brother Stephen crewed. This was the first time we had sailed the mirror at sea, and we had to totally relearn how to sail. The mirror had to sail alot more off the wind when beating at sea. Totally different to Norfolk broads sailing. We learnt and by the end we were getting reasonable places.
