One thousand four hundred feet up from the plain, and One hundred and thirty steos to the entrance.  You can visit the principal church, but no pictures are allowed.  You must also be dressed in long sleaves, and no shorts.

The church in the Monastery had some very old paintings on the walls.  These had not yet been retouched and were in very good condition.  They were all pictures of death and different ways it could occur.

• Dragging across the ground
• Hanging upside down
• Throwing into the river
• Throwing onto rocks
• Squashing under slabs of wood with a screw

• Drowning in a cauldron
• Sawing head open with a saw
