Today we packed up, had breakfast and left for Okinjima, the home of the Africat Foundation.  First stop was at Outjo where more T-shirts and Tin Can craft was purchased.  There was then a search for Magnums, we left disappointed after failing to find a source.  Even a large supermarket failed to deliver.

We arrived at Okinjima, a very secure game farm, some 50,000 acres surrounded by game proof electric fence.  There was a smaller inner compound where the lodge was, this was also surrounded by an electric fence to keep out the wild cats from the camp.  Though it appears some of the leopards were rather cunning and have managed to climb the fence and cross over.

Lunch was provided, and then we went out to search for Cheetahs.  The Cheetahs were rescued animals and had been released out into the wild of this farm.  They were tagged with radio transmitters and could be tracked by direction finding radios from a mile or so away.

Our group found a signal, and we were able to walk up to within a few metres of a couple of Cheetahs eating a Kudu which they had killed.   We left them to finish off and joined our other group who had found another pair of Cheetahs lying in the sand resting after eating their kill.  We stopped here and drank our G&T sundowners, before returning back to the lodge for supper.

After supper we went for a night drive.  Not  much was seen, a rabbit (Rosemary was slightly hysterical over coming all this way to view rabbits; we have far too many at home), a spider and a Spring Hare
