Rosemary and I went to stay with Norman and Valerie in Leicester.  We had an excellent guided tour of Richard III sites.  We first visited the unfinished masterpiece of William Hastings. He was Lord Chamberlain for Edward IV.  Alas for him, he was executed by Richard III for allegedly conspiring against Richards plans to gain the throne.

Afterwards we went onto Bosworth battlefield, and had an excellent tour guide who took us around.  The guide was an ex headmaster and very enthusiastic. We met a couple of women from the Richard III society who were doing the same tour.

Next day we visited the Richard III exhibition in Leicester.  Norman kindly posed against the picture of himself in the exhibition hall.  Also snapped a photograph of the tent which covers the site where Richard III was excavated from the car park.
