  2. Interesting – just one question (so far…); you said:
    … update, and there started a loop […] a failing drive. Diagnostics showed some possible issues

    As the thing was looping and presumably you couldn’t get into Windows 10, so how to run diagnostics?

    — maybe you had the foresight to intall a dual-boot system, maybe you had to boot into a standalone diagnostic?

    — either way, I think we would all be interested in how you did it.
